UCSF Optometry Course 2023 is a 7.5 hour continuing education seminar designed to provide optometrists in all clinical settings with cutting-edge yet clinically-applicable information, based on the extensive experience of several optometrists and ophthalmologists at UCSF and San Francisco VA.
This year’s keynote speaker is Frank Brodie, MD, discussing various uses of OCT in diagnosing retinal conditions. Learners will also enjoy up to 2.5 hours of Glaucoma CE.
Proceeds from the UCSF Optometry Course support the UCSF Optometry Residency program, where we provide two select optometrists with a rich post-graduate education in ocular disease, low vision, specialty contact lenses, and primary eye care.
With the uncertainty of COVID, this year's event will again be virtual via Zoom webinar format, with live speakers and speakers readily available for Q&A. All optometrists in all states are welcome. Please register via the UCSF Office of CME today! Registration is $100 for optometrists. Cancellations in writing prior to 5PM PST on 4/21/23 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds offered after 4/21/23. For all payment-related questions, please email registration@ocme.ucsf.edu.
Registered paid guests will be sent a separate email by Daphne Chan in the days prior to the event containing the Zoom webinar registration link. Once guests register their name and email via Zoom, they will automatically receive the link to join the actual Zoom webinar.
All courses are COPE-pending. Learners will receive digital handouts prior to the conference. Attendance for credit will be monitored. You may obtain CE credit just for the courses you attend. CE certificates will be emailed in the weeks following the event.
LIVE STREAM MEETING
This course will be offered as a virtual conference. Login instructions along with the digital syllabus will be shared with the attendees a week before the meeting. Included in your registration fee is access to the course recordings on demand after the conference and for 30 days after the course. You must tune in to the live conference (in person or remotely) to claim CME.
